Somehow I have managed to pick up the pace of my reading, and I’ve managed to finish another book (YEAH!!!) and am reading 2 more. So, on to the update.
Still plugging away, managed to read SOME over the past 6 weeks or so. Really only finished another book, but did start another, and will finish by the end of the week (chick lit…always goes fast). I’m so slack with the reading, there is just NOT enought time in the day to accomplish all I want/need to. Reading list has been appended below.
3/2 – Feb. Update
Ugh. What a disapointing start to this challenge. I started out strong, and faded fast. I have vowed to catch up some in March. I’m still going to finish the 2 that were in process in Feb. But I have started ‘reading’ the audio version of “Pride and Prejudice” – Jane Austin. Much easier to listen than to read some of the classics. Listening also blocks out a lot of the background noise of the work breakroom, and I can still knit because my hands are free.
I also decided to take a break from my larger books and read something that will give me the satisfaction of completion much faster. “Good Bones and Simple Murders” – Margaret Atwood. It’s a shorty (only about 150 pages, and small size, like a paperback), but I got halfway through it between last night and a little reading today. I should finish tomorrow. Usually, I’m a quick reader, but with a toddler and a desire to also finish some knitting projects this year, I find my pace has slowed considerably.
2/22 – Let the Challenge Begin !!I got started a little late on this challenge, but I had just finished 2 books earlier this month. SO, I will be starting my 52 weeks from Feb. 1, 2009.
